The consultancy aimed at developing a GEF-6 ONE-STEP Medium Size Project document for the “Long-term financial mechanism to enhance Mediterranean MPA management effectiveness” project.
The project objective was to establish a Conservation Trust Fund (CTF) to enhance the management effectiveness of Mediterranean Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) through improving their long-term financial sustainability.
The lead implementing agency was Conservation International (CI).
The application was successful, and the project was funded (GEF ID 9959).
