Blue Pangolin Consulting has officially joined the RISE UP for the Ocean network, a global coalition of more than 750 organisations, from more than 67 countries, including civil society groups, foundations, businesses, small-scale fishers, and Indigenous communities. Members of the network align on shared priorities and targets outlined in the Blue Call to Action to protect, restore, and equitably govern the world’s oceans.
Through this partnership, Blue Pangolin Consulting reinforces its commitment to sustainability, climate resilience, and meaningful environmental action. RISE UP addresses some of the most urgent challenges facing ocean-dependent communities, including:
Small-Scale Fisheries: Supporting the livelihoods, rights, and food security of coastal communities reliant on healthy marine ecosystems.
High Seas Treaty: Advocating for strong implementation of the Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ) Agreement to safeguard marine life in international waters.
Deep Sea Protection: Promoting precautionary measures to prevent irreversible harm from deep-sea mining and other extractive activities.
Ocean-Climate Nexus: Highlighting the ocean’s central role in climate regulation and integrating ocean health into climate policy solutions.
